Whilst a meeting at the UN takes place, delegates must ensure no weapons or munitions are sold to human rights abusers.

  • as long as they stay the hell out of america i will be happy..... i love my guns ....From my cold dead fingers

  • "Ideas are more dangerous than guns. We wouldn’t let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?"

    - Joseph Stalin

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing."

    - Adolf Hitler

    Mass Murderers Prefer Defenseless Victims!

  • The real agenda here is to get at civilian firearms owned by law-abiding folks. For example, the UN is pushing for a registration provision for American citizens. Don't be duped by a left-wing organization comprised of a bunch of piss-ant countries that all hate America's freedom.

  • they said when one country is prohibited - an other country will trade arms....but there should be rules...and then let countries trade and be exposed and condemned..we are living in a community globally growing together...arms should not be used in the end (however, alternative global arms against catastrophes like meteors or earthly natural catastrophes (floods, earthquakes, viral infections etc are neeeded...)

  • There is a big lobby for arms trade for big business purposes - they invade nurseries with plastic weapons, they create sniper videos to get already little kids used to shoot - I do not believe it is unnecessary or wrong to restrict weapon trade, its bad for business but saves lives

  • How dare you, how dare you think that you even have the ability let alone the right to regulate anything globally. Can you not see the folly?

The only type of control that matters is self control. And THAT is what is happening in the middle east.

  • @Elephantintheroom01 Part 3

Overall the centralized government response restricting arms is nothing more than partisan factionalisation and is not supported by statistics.

Equality of arms is a great way to discourage violence, statistics from the US beuro of justice state that 550 rapes and 1100 murders are prevented every day by the brandishing of a firearm. Which are amongst other statistics which you can find if you are open to it.

I recommend watching the video no guns for negroes.

  • @Elephantintheroom01 Part 2

Similar to the USSR, The ability to attack peaceful protestors and dissidents is only dependent on the fact that they are unarmed. The police have proven for almost 400 years that they are willing to kill for dictators. This changes if there is an equal to or greater chance that they will come off worst.

  • I am surprised that amnesty would support such a treaty

Using a treaty to discourage arms sales will only mean a bigger market share in weapon sales for any country that does not sign it. The real purpose of this treaty is to bypass normal processes for passing a law restricting civilian owned guns between countries

This is high on the agenda for centralized government factions/parties as it solidifies there grip on power and increase there ability to misuse it without any repercussion
