  • john lennon was a very smart man.

  • @pdballs Ringo Starr was just as essential in the Beatles as the other 3. nobody really gives Ringo the proper respect and recognition he deserves, but he contributed a lot to the band. Ringo was the only Beatle that didn't wanna break up.

  • personable--witty--I SWEAR nobody in rock gave interview like a Beatle

  • @Hicks055 he thinks and talks like one as well

  • the interviewer looks like a twat

  • @inkey2 He was a fun and funny guy. Loved his laugh.

  • He was thirty-five years old when this was made.

  • you can tell John likes Tom Snyder, who was a bit of a goof, but pretty interesting guy.

John comes across as a smart, likeable guy. Wish I could warn him to leave NYC.

  • @noclouds111 I always loved the tom snyder show......he did indeed have some interesting guests

  • @Velvet4U Ringo WAS a good drummer. He was very innovative on the drums and influenced many other drummers. He was just technically limited cuz he was a lefty playing on a right handed drum kit, but thats what gave him his groove.

  • @SuperJewTV1 But ringo was NOT a good drummer. In fact he destroyed alot of good songs in the early days.

  • Some of you are forgetting the context of these/those times. John Lennon was considered an outcast & a radical by our govt. That Tom Snyder gave John a forum, was a major coup. Tom had a way of attracting guests which no one else was able to have.

Tom Snyder wasn't the most hip interviewer, but he was sincere and thoughtful. I believe that John relished the opportunity to speak candidly, and was glad to appear on Tom's show.

Does anyone remember the SNL parody of Snyder done by Dan Ackroyd?
