@cody3395 serve the time in the army that you signed up for, without any major violations during that time, And then get out. Its the most common type of discharge. Pretty much. Do your job, And get out. Unless you break the law, or get out for medical reasons.

@tankshot009 how would you get a Honorable discharge?
cody3395 7 months ago
@cody3395 if you follow the route that you specified, you should have no problems getting into CID. As long as your criminal background and credit history are intact. If you decide however to not persuit CID as a career, Then yes. A bachelors degree and military experience with an Honorable discharge will almost guarantee you a position within those and many other law enforcement agencies.

@tankshot009 also, would that route maybe help me get in the CIA,FBI,NCIS if CID doesnt work out?
cody3395 7 months ago
@cody3395 That would be your best route into CID. that way with your time as an MP, and your semester hours you would apply with no waivers, and probably be picked up for warrant officer within two years of being a special agent.

@tankshot009 when i go to college im going to get my BS in criminal justice then maybe join the military police after a few years of that would it be good to join?
cody3395 7 months ago
@cody3395 You have to join the army as a normal MOS first. After serving two years of service, And meeting the minimum requirements, You can visit your Local CID office to begin the application process. CID is currently expanding and is therefore waiving the Law enforcement experience requirement, and replacing it with on the job training. Any more questions?
