POSSESED Dover Death Trap Hydraulic Elevator - 180 Pelham Road - New Rochelle, NY

TALK ABOUT A LATE 90'S DOVER!

Something is seriously possessing this Dover. It was installed in 1999 when the new wing was built. (Hence the weird numbering since the floors aren't level) This elevator has a faulty controller, a demented door operator and choppy ride. This elevator also has a bad reputation and is notorious for constantly stalling. Janitors, teachers and other staff members are SCARED to ride this elevator. After speaking with 3 teachers before riding this elevator, they all told me NOT to ride it, just because it stalls ALL OF THE TIME.

Now for the shenanigans on 2R....
Notice how it did not buzz or chime for the first half of the video. (Faulty controller) When I went out to ring the bell, I let the elevator close, and it WOULD NOT RE OPEN! The button DID work, it was NOT locked off, it just has a broken LED. The elevator sat at the floor for a few seconds, went down a few floors, responded to NO calls, stalled, gave off severe shock waves and jolts, and then came back up 5 minutes later. This elevator was obviously installed by the worst technicians, since Dover has done MUCH better than this. On top of all of that, when it does decide to go up, every light in the new wing dims! Did I mention that the elevator doesn't even level!? It just stops with a huge jolt and/or drops!

All I have to say now is...
YAY DOVER!!!!! :D

Aww man, i've never seen a dover in this bad a condition.... I would expect something like this from Schindler or maybe a KONE. But NEVER a Dover....

Yeah, this thing sucks, but your video of the DOVIS Hydraulic Elevator at 77 Quaker Ridge Road takes the cake for the worst.
