  • If the Devils have such a great defense helping Marty then why did they lose to the New York Islanders the other day without him ? Where was that great defense ? what about the trap ? Even if Marty gets 5 cups, breaks more of Roy's or anyone else's records all you haters will never give him credit , and to that I say tough shit! ALL YOURE HEROS ARE GOING DOWN GO DEVILS!!!!

  • Roy laugh at you for not play NHL.

  • @Mcmone3737 haha OK thats why now brodeur is forever the best goalie ever

  • The trap is not exciting hockey. It bogs down the offense and is not fun to watch. Yeah, it helps them win games. How well has it worked in the playoffs? Good teams will step up and defeat it.

Also, my comment was in response to someone saying the Devils don't run the trap anymore.

  • The devils are and forever will be a TRAP team. Your telling me Robinson and Burns played a fast paced offensive attack style of hockey. You are wrong, the devils are the most boring team in hockey. But it wins games and cups for that matter, with little regard for the actual quality of the game. The Devils forcheck one, if that, and clog the netural zone with the remaining players. And just sit back, push everyone to the boards, or just allow a dump in. From 94 to present!

  • wow your ignorant

  • Lots of teams do that when they get a lead. It's called protecting it. And what is so bad about the trap? It provides offense as well as helps your team win. Whether or not you find it entertaining, I am almost certain the coaches are paid to win. Since the Devils are first place I would say they do a good job of that.

  • That's an idiotic comment. They implemented the trap last night after they went up 2-0.

  • Roy and his 3 Conn Smythe trophies laugh at brodeur and his padded records

  • ok then that is what I am...you obviously don't like the devils....or even watch them.

It's not the quantity of shots but the quality and when the devils do break down it's a shorthanded breakaway or a shot from in close.

The devils of the 90's were a trap team but that went out when Larry Robinson took over and went away completely when Burns won the cup in 03.
