But we'll all sit there observing each other and then leave to think.....

The fact that you said "because the dumb introverts were too shy" proved he's point :)

Introverts arnt shy, they just simply dont like dumb, nonconstructive small talk that you extraverts like to overuse to be "funny" and attract attention to yourself... Example: your comment :P

I understand. Still I don't want to say that it cannot be helped, but a lot of times it happens that way because of the differences. I cannot remember of having a similar experience (I'm an ambivert), but I have behaved similarly with some introverts in real life (hardly showing attention to them and ignoring them). That doesn't mean it's justifiable. Maybe just for you or people that relate to your experience. Maybe you also think that the bias against introverts aren't justifiable.

Then you should befriend more intelligent extroverts or you should reconsider that some of your "introverted" acquaintances, that you maybe consider so merely because they have the brain capacity to understand your ideas, are actually extroverts. I'm disquiet but I'm not dumb. Yes, I struggle to concentrate, but I'm not unable to do it to fulfill a purpose. Yes, sometimes we make small talk and sorry if our recharging needs interfere with yours, but we are also able to speak meaningfully.

Bias everywhere. I don't undertand how some introverts feel so entitled to state they are so misunderstood in the real world that is allegedly biased againt them when they are also showing signals of bias against extroverts that may be a minority in more introverted communities like internet. More compassion please.

Yes, you're right that we can learn from each other. I've learned that most extroverts have shit for brains and have nothing positive to contribute.

Don't get me wrong, I've tried to share ideas with extroverts. One problem with them is that they don't know when to shut the fuck up and listen. The other problem is that they don't seem to have the brain capacity to understand some ideas.

Excuse me, but "Introvert Pride"? It's good to be proud of the way your brain works but we aren't two different races. We are ALL human. And why would it be so bad to be an extrovert, anyway? What good is a great mind if you can't share it with the world and enlighten others? And, what's so bad about calming down and taking a second of solitude to think, extroverts? We can learn from each other. Experiencing life from all angles, socially and on your own, is how you get the most out of life.

The book is excellent. Introverts are already taking over the world. The newest ideas, trends, etc. come via the internet and introverts by and large, dominate the internet. It's where we feel most socially comfortable and where we share our ideas. We are in our element here so let's take advantage of it.

Oh, I see. I probably should have known the whole story before I called you bitter, sorry :)

Yes, I have known extroverts like that. They drain me because, of course, I'm an introvert. But they are usually well-meaning, sometimes they just don't understand introversion.

I'm not bitter, but this 'co-worker' was my supervisor, also. She was younger than me and her personality was like one of those junior high school mean girls. Having to interact with her daily for years was torture. Of course, this wasn't because she was an extrovert, it was because she was an idiot. I've noticed over the years that introverts tend to be nicer and more thoughtful. Extroverts can suck the life out of you in an effort to have something, anything, new coming into their brains.

I first watched a TED talk with Ms. Cain and felt it is about time Introverts stepped out of the safe zone and offered a fresh and long overdue perspective that could be the stepping stone to a lot of positive forward steps for the individual as well as society as their understanding of personality types. How many of you know your personality type? I highly recommend you do some self discovery and understand how you are wired - Take a personality test and move forward. I am an INFJ :)

In addition to introverted, you also seem kind of bitter. I'm an introvert too, but I like to talk to people although that it tires me. I love being alone, but it's good to talk to people once in a while, as draining as it may be. It seems rude to tell someone you can't stand them unless it's extreme.

You shouldn't generalize extroverts like that. I admire the way they can command the room and have a conversation. Some of my friends are extroverts, and they're actually very smart.
