I don't like him because he directed those Horrible A.I.D.S adverts in 1987-8 I know someone had to do it, but when I found out, it put me off him; put me off John Hurt as well.
Have to admit though he is a great director.

Nicolas Roeg has never fully got the appreciation he deserves. He's one of the most intelligent, unique, interestingly experimental filmmakers there's ever been. Don't Look Now, Walkabout, The Man That Fell To Earth & even Performance, are all exceptional films. Micheal Powell, Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, David Lean, Ken Russell, Nicolas Roeg, Danny Boyle - Britain really does produce some incredibly talented filmmakers. Most notably: the editing in Roeg's films is always superb.
