  • Hapkido IS mma, mma stands for mixed martial arts, Hapkido incorporates punches, kicks, takedowns and throws, joint locks, chokes, weapons training, etc. First, the rules in most "mma" tournaments make the reality based styles pointless. Second, Hapkido is a spiritual art and not made to make you look cool, make you rich or get you laid, if you can't grasp that, don't comment on it or about it.

  • i do hapkido and there are a lot of things i wouldnt do in a real street fight....sometimes the things we do dont really work like they should....but the things i learn i know can work cuz ive used them. Certain kicks like a cresent kick will rarley work cuz you can see it come from a mile away but a axe comeing from a front snap kick...lands everytime....especially if they dont know its coming

  • @Brazilianjj its too dangerous to use in fighting. when people try to go against hapkido techniques all you would hear / see is snapping of the bones or limbs removed from their sockets.
