He also said, "any surface"
I'm going to pilot mine over a little kid.

Look at that.. not a helmet to be seen! Nowadays they'll barely let a kid take a shit without a helmet!

My name is Shaun and I'm a Krazy Karpet survivor.

Wouldn't you get hurt if you crashed into an 18 year old bush? or would you still be having fun? ;)

Ah Krazy Karpet...so many fond memories!! (and yes, I believe I remember the commercial, but I was living in suburban Montreal at the time)
Thanks for this blast from the past eye8cbs!

OMG these were epic rides! As kids we had this great ravine behind the house that was perfect for sliding and Krazy Karpets were ideal because they were slick even in patches where there wasn't as much snow. Fastest and coolest of all were the original metal flying saucer sleds, man you could do some damage with them!

Commercials of the 70s seem so amateurish compared to commercials of today.
Voiceover sounds like a documentary, and music in the background is generic, and sales pitch sounds flat.

The dog running down the hill after them. Cute lol
Is that former WUAB Channel 43-Cleveland, Ohio staff announcer Marty "Superhost" Sullivan doing the voiceover at the end of the commercial?
