Hi ladies! In this video I did a roller set on my natural hair. The next day, I wanted to do a length check so I flat ironed it. My hair type is 70% 4a/b and 30% 3c in my crown area. I wanted my curls very soft so I didn't use setting lotion when my hair was set. I used only water and the Hydratherma Naturals Herbal Gloss Heat Protector. The key is to keep the hair soaking wet while setting it and definitely use mesh end papers. This will give you a smoother set. To maintain your hair you can pin curl or wrap your hair at night. Maintaining a nice balance of moisture and protein is the key to healthy hair and preventing breakage. Hydratherma Naturals products keeps my hair in perfect balance. I moisturize with the Hydratherma Naturals Daily Moisturizing Growth Lotion and seal in the moisture with our Hair Growth Oil. When I wear my hair straight, I use a very small amount of these 2 products to prevent reversion.
Blessings!!!!!

  • How often do you roller set your hair? I was thinking of using roller sets to safely stretch out my hair each week. My hair is still fairly short. I transitioned form June 2011 to January 2012 and then I chopped it. So I've been completely natural for about two months now. I was wearing an Afro but I'm getting tired of that and I don't like the way two strand twists and coils look on my hair cause its so short. so I'm opting for roller sets. Have you noticed any change in your curl pattern?

  • @zoegirl9805 I haven't roller set my hair in a while. It is a lot safer than using direct heat. I don't believe that setting the hair in this way will result in heat damage or changes in your curl pattern.

  • I my hair is 4b/4c texture. How long did you stay under a dryer?

  • @MilliePat Hi. I stayed under the dryer for about 1.5 - 2 hrs

  • QUESTION? Where can I get the roller set that you have? Can you buy it online?

  • @ladysmook Yes, you can get these rollers from sallys :-)

  • guuuurrrllll, I so Love your Diana Ross eyes!

  • @HealthyHairJourney can you please tell me the name of the roller set pls.I am trying hard to purchase one.. but i can only find velcro rollers...

  • @MilliePat Yes, using a hood dryer would definitely work better and help pervent frizz.

  • My hair is 4b/4c and shrinks when dry to 75% of the length. I did not have a hood dryer and used a blow dryer and let the rollers stay in six hours. I had curls but I also had frizziness at the scalp. Would hood dryer would work better and for me and a setting lotion, cause my scalp sweats and as soon as dampness hits my hair, all it lost?

  • GIRL THATS SOME SEX KITTEN HAIR YOU GOT GOIN ON! I'M SO TRYING THIS ON MY HAIR. I LOVE IT. THANKS FOR THE TUT:)
