Lilith Performance Studio launched its first Performance Catalogue, Lilith Performance Studio 2007-2009. We celebrated this by showing performances by five artists who all have had a prior production period in the studio; Tsuneko Taniuchi (JPN), Melati Suryodarmo (IDN), Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen (PHL/DNK), Saralunden (SWE) och Tanya Mars (CAN).


Tsuneko Taniuchi (b. in 1946 in Hyôgo, Japan, lives and works in Paris, France) performes the piece Micro-Event n°25 / VIP Cocktails. Taniuchi stands in her specially constructed white bar all night, serving VIP Cocktails to the audience. A block of ice, totally transparent, is placed in the middle, covering Taniuchi´s lower part of the body, wearing black see-through pantyhose. On the upper part of her body she wears a classic waitress vest and a bow tie. With a hammar and a icepick she cuts ice for the drinks. Two signs is displayed for the audience to read: Do you like VIP Cocktails? and Please employ me, I am the best employee of the month! At your service!
As times passes, drinks is served and the ice is picked, Taniuchi´s lower body is becoming more and more visible.
