Mangalitza pigs are very friendly, large framed, dark-skinned, curly coated pig that originate from Austira/Hungary. They are an extremely hardy breed, rarely becoming ill and capable of surviving the harsh winters of the region in which they were farmed.
Imported into the UK for the first time in 2006 by Tony York of Pig Paradise.
