A Chicago classic by a Chicago classic. From 1975, Otis covers this great song done originally by his friend Tyrone Davis. Still active as a performer, his live shows are dynamite. One of the last great Chicago soul stars out there today.

  • How is it that the R. Kelly version of this song is all over the place and the only good versions (this one and Otis Clay) are tucked away? Seriously, the R. Kelly version sucks.

  • ....Amazin. Best music on earth.

  • absolutely fantastic, and yes i would turn back the hands of time, for more reasons than one

  • Everything you've said is true. If anyone gets a chance to see him live...they surely should!!! He's amazing. Saw him once in NYC...in the 90's. Thanks for posting.

  • a great cover from a top artist

  • great find

  • great post, pgh! the other side of that 45 is my favorite! "good lovin"

otis sings: "if you walk out my life...i hope you fall and break your neck". i'm sure he didn't mean that, but that's got to be one of the most peculiar and funniest lyrics in soul music! you said you would do some otis clay....and you delivered!
