Another Mike Hussey masterclass and a glut of late England wickets has it looking a certainty that the Ashes will be level at Christmas. Michael Edward Killeen Hussey (born 27 May 1975) is an Australian cricketer, a left-handed specialist batsman. Hussey is also widely known by his nickname Mr Cricket.
Hussey was a relative latecomer to both the one-day international and Test Australian teams, debuting at 28 and 30 years of age in the respective formats, with 15,313 first-class runs before making his Test debut.[1] However, he has had a highly successful international career, being the top-ranked ODI batsman in the world in 2006.[2] He plays first-class cricket as vice-captain of the Western Warriors in Australia and has played for three counties in England. He also plays in the Indian Premier League for the Chennai Super Kings, although he opted out of the 2009 season. Until recently, he was the only player in the history of cricket to average over 50 in both International Test and One Day cricket.

Disappointingly, unlike yesterday when superb bowling brought about England's demise, on this occasion, poor shots from the middle order was to blame as they were left sprawling at 81 for five.
A target of 391 on a pitch that isn't a road always seemed a big ask but this England

  • I must admit that they brought a good test team, lets see how they go in the shorter over games

  • I will have to admit England have a great team this year, which will make for an interesting next few years as its always better to have competition, we have to take the ups and downs like every other country now!, it just so happens i had my English brother staying with me for the whole of December / January, LUCKY ME

  • @sunray880 no worries mate, we can take your pithy comments, it will be even sweeter to take back the ashes on English soil.

  • why didn't you show the 100

  • I was there!

  • Wow. If Hussey was dropped before the series (like many wanted him to be) Australia might've lost 5-0. What an outstanding player!!!

  • @sunray880

    Arrogant, cheating?

I'd also like to correct you, they were handed their balls on a plate by the South Africa Reject XI.

  • @sunray880 u are a big ****head mate!

  • remember this cos it was live on airoplane on way to australia :)

  • its my birthday

  • The poms seemed to hate the middle of the pitch there at the WACA. Kept smashing the ball into it. Wonder why? Maybe there was a figure of Ricky Ponting's face stamped into the grass halfway down.
