SMARTBoard Notebook Activity - The Turkey Trot

The Turkey Trot is a Notebook activity that students can use to help them go through a step-by-step process when solving a Mathematical word problem.

It's a fun way for students to practice something that can sometimes be a little boring. If you go through all ten word problems and guide them through each step, before you know it, they will be thinking of these steps on all their word problems.

This activity is for kids aged 6 through 8 but can be used in other grades to reinforce the steps involved in solving a word problem.

While the Turkey Trot activity is fun to play around the U.S. Thanksgiving Holiday season, it can be used at any time throughout the year and in any country.
