Even Brian thought this album would be considered the Stones' "answer" to Sgt. Pepper; but for the most part, it actually stands on its own.  This is one example of a great song that never made it real big. Pity.

always loved this song. check out "We Love You". Some good lesser known songs on Metamorphosis: "I Don't Know Why I Love You Babe" "Jiving Sister Fanny" "I'm Going Down". Don't remember if "Memo From Turner" is on that one. I thought it was on one of the older pressings. I know that there is a version of "Out of Time" that was on an older pressing which is not the same version that is on the London Years singles collection.

Interesting song, to say the least. I've always liked "Citadel". Before actually hearing it, I half assumed the title was a reference to the famous WWII battle on the Eastern front..clearly this song is about something else.
