Back in the days Christendom descouraged Science as somekind of witchcraft. So a movement began to counter the ideas of Christianity that movement is known as Darwinism. Christianity which man-made contains numerous of flaws is shattered when logic & science are introduced.

@AbeleWong And I'm 100% sure you're wrong. There are no relevant scientists IN THE ENTIRE WORLD that deny the mountains of evidence that PROVED evolution decades ago. New findings support evolution 10x more since. Only a fool would claim evolution is silly. 'Scientists' that don't support evolution printed their own diploma right after bible class. Religion is the ONLY reason to deny evolution.

If Newton was alive now I am 100% certain he laugh his head off because the 99.9% USA scientist now support silly Evolution, before they can prove it. @sfg911 and before you change the subject to who is famous for discovering the earth is not the center of the universe, I know it's not Newton but Newton did significantly advance the science dealing with the subject. I'm sure in his time he found the theists continued ideas that the earth is the center quite silly because he had the evidence to prove otherwise. If Newton was alive now I am 100% certain he would feel the same way about anti-evolutionism for the same reason.

@AbeleWong Funny you should bring up Newton... the way I know an anti-evolutionist isn't reading enough books is the same way I know a geocentrist isn't. Evolution is a fact. There is so much evidence and research backing up evolution it would be more likely I'm wrong about the earth not being the center of the universe. 100% of the arguments against evolution are coming from theists, 0% from scientists.

How do you know Newton didn't know how believe in God because of enormous social pressure. His theory was not accepted by most of the people. Most people believe that all moving object must stop at the end w/o force..

Newton didn't know how big or old the universe was and there was enormous social pressure to believe in a god in his time. What he "believed without reason" has nothing to do with his scientific achievements.

There is such thing as adaptation; the genetic code is believe it or not designed very intelligently so that adaptations take place, life will adapt to its environment. This does not mean nor prove evolution from ONE species to ANOTHER. Bird is still bird, reptile is still reptile. Most of the things scientists say would take a LONG time to happen/produce was proven NOT to be so, and that in very short periods of time LOTS can happen, great changes can occur, and have occured.
