@maddoc222 It looks to me like the piece that forms the muzzle is just another big ring put on like the others. Which appear to be put on hot and allowed to shrink to fit

I love to work in this job, i'm also a smith im gold/silver smith but sometimes i make some fun with mading daggers and knives i hope one day i could make a small medieval hand gun, nice work guys!

this would take about 30 min in modern day =) interchangerble parts, just put them and glue them together tadha =) TY

Rigtigt god film. Sjovt at se to smede lave en tro kopi af en kanon fra middelalderen på den hårde måde. ingen snyd eller små triks.
thats a lot of work. Why didn't they cast it from one piece ?

i remember bronze canons were cast.

They did cast in bronze also - the Loshult gun ie is made in bronze and considered the oldest canon in the world
