  • this is a rip on dimmu borgir's alt lys er svunett hen!Im not sure which came first ive never hears this song and dont know when its from but they're both sick songs

  • If you had any knowledge of rock music whatsoever you would realise that Magnum have been around for over 30 years. They wrote and recorded One Sacred Hour over 25 years ago...probably before you were even born! I have checked out the Dimmu Borgir track and it is definitely a rip off. Thanks for pointing it out I shall inform Magnum.

  • My all times favourite song, saw them i cambridge on the wings of heaven tour and this guitar solo of tony clarkin is simply the best i have ever heard. Check it out on the live wings of heaven album, its simply magnificent

  • GREAT!

  • @nigelic, sigh..

  • Sounds better than the Dimmu version in some parts. Surprising with it being older and such.

  • It's not "the Dimmu Borgir song", this is a Magnum song from the 80's. I have the LP, and intro is like this on record too. Stian who used to be Dimmu Borgir's keyboardplayer copied this intro without the others knowing. That's why they didn't play the intro live after 1998, as that's when they found out.

  • Yeah I agree. Mark Stanway is a time traveller. He has a worm hole. Came into the 90s to rip off some music, then jumped back into the 80s to record it. What a smart arse he is. p.s. I have an anti-gravity belt.

  • No, it's well documented that their keyboard player at the time was a fucking thief.

  • my fave song of all time by a brilliant band who should get more recognition for there talents

  • To everyone Dimmu Borgir, especially old more melodic Dimmu rules, yes they did rip this off though (the intro) and yes they even ripped off Tim Wrights Agony, but the parts ripped off are keyboard parts, I think at the time they were having problems with their keys player.

  • Quote Wikipedia "Dimmu Borgir started as a melodic black metal band in 1993". So I think that we all know which came first, and it was not from Norway.

Excellent video by the way, I keep bugging them to do a gig in the US but to no avail.
