  • hahaha epic fail at covering your own song!!

  • Warren WAS good but then he went fuckin weird, cookoo, bananas, so Simon got the fuck rid of him in a hurry. When Simon found out Warren posed nude in a gay mag, he disassociated with Warren. Simon has always been very image consious and in my opinion that is why Andy was given the old heavehoe also.

  • When Andy left, Warren actually pursued Duran to join the band and luckily they guys saw that Warren had something to offer and were compatible, so they let him join in. In one interview, Simon did say that Ordinary World came about thanks to Warren and also that Nick and Warren would create the songs and present them to Simon, saying "just add lyrics!" Andy was good - I cant imagine their stuff without Andys riffs, but Warren certainly had presence and slotted in very nicely (esp on stage!).

  • @Cuccurullo72 if you listen to late bar/khanada/last chance on stairway/new religion/careless memories/anyone out there/a view to a kill/hungry like the wolf/save a prayer/american science/proposition/union of the snake/shadows on your side/ you can hear why andy had the best with duran duran. duran duran without him are weaker but duran duran with rhodes lebon and JT can produce equally good ambient stuff - chauffeur/secret oktober etc. warren was good...but replaceable...andy wasnt.

  • @ALAN32138 I dunno if warren was a bettter technical guitarist. maybe, but, its not technical ability that makes yoru creative intput to the total sum very special - its the creative input. i think andy taylors style is what made duran duran = duran duran. at least in part. warren was decent but too way out there with whiz and bangs and off the radar of what duran duran were...

  • @divingman2008 I think the actual songs were written by simon le bon...the guitar hook was warren and of course nick rhodes syths were responsible for the bass on both ordinary world and especially come undone. i dont think duran duran needed warren as much as warren needed duran duran as who would have been his audience after missing persons? he wouldnt have had one.

  • They wre rubbish in the 80s and they are just as bad now ...

  • Pop Trash was one of Duran's best albums and Warren was a far more accomplished musician than Andy. Let's not forget classics like Ordinary World and Come Undone were thanks to Warren. He should never have been kicked out.

  • warrenc cucorullo was good for duran duran...but the latter stuff where he had more influence and writing was utter tosh...some of the pop trash is an all time low for duran duran and its warrens input who took it to that low. andy taylor cant be replaced and all classic duran tracks have him stamped all over it.

  • @tygersflowerz your not in a minority,,,warren was a better guitarist than andy T.. latin glamour
