On June 13th 2010, female fisher F004 was photographed climbing a tree(tree on the left) next to her den tree (tree on the right). The photographs were combined and made into a video. As she moves around in her tree, her kits start to emerge from the cavity in the den tree. See if you can count how many kits emerge from the cavity in the den tree. Female fishers can give birth to 1-4 kits, but the normal litter size in western North America is 2 kits. Notice the size of the kits in comparison to the size of their mom to get an idea of how much they've grown since they were mouse-sized newborns.
