That yapping woman in the background would have received a proper bitch slapping in any good government.
-
It's just like Oldham isn't it.
-
Peter Cushing (Character): Thinking to himself: "Am goin' take out that jerk BIG BROTHER and his stupid party (comrades--my ass) and his jerkwater planet---someday am gonna build a thing called the DEATHSTAR and blow the shit out of this "Socialist Workers Paradise!"

Parsons is wonderfully acted too. Campbell Grey makes that character so depressingly chipper and jolly; every bit the bloody fool that he is in the novel. Well, until miniluv get him, anyway.
-
I wish that Peter Cushing stil lived
-
same here vyggy, the scene when he fixes the sink is so different and this version goes into more detail than the john hurt as winston movie.
-
you know me too

no, live tv broadcasts more often than not used filmed inserts for exterior shots.

Absolutely all of it? I can see how all the studio shots would be live, but the location shots that transition from the canteen to Winston's flat as well?
"Peter Cushing and Donald Pleasence.
You just don't see acting like that any more."
And all done live as well. Pure class.

I like this version better than the 1984 one.
