I abhor the colors you picked, but I would feel invited if I slept in that room. IMO, there's too much furniture for me in the room, but all of the furniture you included would be useful to a guest. Very thoughtful!

Again I am inspired. I tried to shoot for the quaint B & B look that you've achieved. I was surprised how much more inviting the room is by adding a few things: books, another lamp to make a reading area and some antique toys placed here and there. I also bring in a plant when company comes, so that it looks more lived in. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your comments and beautiful description of your decorating (which sounds most inviting; your guests will be very lucky indeed). A picture of the bed and wall area on the right is featured in the December 2007 issue of Architectural Digest, and we were very excited to see Irwin Weiner's decorating work here recognized!
