Six or so years ago, I listened to this song on repeat for hours. It haunted me. I have had the world stand still upon discovery of betrayal. What I learned is that no one can make you whole. That person you seek to do so, in the end, will fail you. When that happens, although it hurts immensely, we can work to make ourselves whole, a decision to be happily independent. That is freedom. That is healthy. That will attract another healthy person and maybe healthy relationship will result.

This song is perfect for Dr.Who when Sarah Jane saw the Dr again. This song paints a bad picture of what Sarah at times felt about the Dr when he ditched her. He is not a time lord but a time pimp or lethario LMFAO. It's all good Dr. Who is a good show.

In the song she's talking about she's in this relationship where she was in love with this person she thought "would never stray" and that she'd be with them until her "dying day" -- there's kind of scariness in the fact that you're with someone forever. Anyway she kind of in a way says she knew what was going on but wouldn't believe it - so when she finally found out there was almost relief "a freedom" in this knowledge, because this wasn't the person she was going to be with forever after all.

hmm,this really got me thinking!but what i THINK it MIGHT mean,is that she's not under her boyfriends spell anymore;now she knows that he is human, and can hurt her, so she's free in a way, and she does not think he is so perfect anymore;that he has flaws that she never thought he had, and now that she knows about them,she free from his spell.thats just what I interpreted,tho!=]
