I don't know the back story of why they aren't all playing together, but without Ace and Peter it isn't KISS as far as I'm concerned.

@videogameobsession The backstory is known by all real fans of the band. Ace was a drug addict / alchoholic and they felt Peter was getting to old to pla drums the way they wanted and he wanted to much money to be a hired hand for the Japan tour a few years ago.

@cmedytrgdy I may not be a true KISS fan by Kiss Army standards, but I've liked them since the 70's. Some of my first vinyl records were by them... anyway...

"too old to play drums" <- IS BULLSHIT! My 83 year old grandfather has been drumming most of his life and can out drum most drummers 1/3rd his age!

I guess they have never seen Buddy Rich (just a few years before his death) and Neil Pert isn't a kid anymore either.

Ace Frehley is totally clean now and still playing guitar. So more BS..

@videogameobsession I didn't say 50 was too old Neither did kiss. They Said PETER was too old. He was never a great drummer and the years of abuse made him worse. Plus he wanted too much money. As for Ace, he was not sober when they needed him and he was always too much drama for them . Gene and Paul are clean and don't tolerate that crap anymore. I miss them in the band, but Eric singer is a better drummer.

@videogameobsession Ace is an alcoholic and unreliable so they fired him . Peter wanted too much money for the Japan leg of his last tour. They felt he was no able to play drums anymore as well as they needed. Eric Singer is in the band now as long as Peter was.

I enjoy Paul's graciousness and candid nature. He's always been very courteous, polite, and kind to his interviewers, fans and even the papparazzi! He's really more different that Gene, and way more humbler too.

Hell ya man I hate those people that are like "Eric and Tommy are posers and that KISS should take the make up off and yada yada yada!" and I say to those people SHUT UP your not a KISS fan if you are complaining about band members! and you know giving Tommy and Eric their own make up won't work either remeber Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent? Thats not the KISS we want we want a classic looking KISS!
