Galaxy was not a very good boxer. He did not have fast hands, he did not have good defensive skills, and his footwork was mediocre. What he had was, in my opinion, the heaviest left hand, pound for pound, of any fighter who ever lived. And he had a very good chin. He had no amateur experience, and his boxing did improve as he aged. But he was never slick.
