Warning, this is an Atoli tribute!
*glares at you hateful, hateful Alkaid shippers*

RANT RANT RANT ~ Read at ye own peril. Arrr.

Let me start by saying this is a really odd video. I have a feeling it may not be very popular but I really wanted to make this and thought I may as well share. This was something rather new to me because I decided I wanted to tell a story with it. I used a lot of text and that will probably piss off a lot of viewers, from what I heard text in videos doesn't go down all that well but its my party and I'll cry if I want to. I think the song just explodes with atmosphere and was perfect for Atoli in every way, even right down to the title. The reference to home in the lyrics fits her love for 'The World' perfectly.

The reason I added text was because words are so powerful and I really wanted this video to hit with an impact using text and sounds from the original footage. I wanted to show people exactly who this EXTREMELY under-rated character is and why I love her.

Some of us were lucky enough to never be in Atoli's place but a lot of us were/are. You have to do a lot of digging to see the true extent of what she goes through. She wasn't beaten by her parents or witness to her family being killed. She doesn't have a magic power that isolates her from society or a demon sealed in her belly button. Shes a NORMAL KID. She tries so hard to fit in and be like everyone else. Her relationship with her parents isn't good, they dictate to her how she should live her life but that life causes problems for her at school. She tries to be like the other kids and her parents punish her for it. She tries to do what her parents say and the kids at school hate her for it. In school people can say some violently extreme things to kids who don't fit in and they never quite realise just what it does to the person they're saying it to. Words are some of the most powerful weapons we naturally have these days, cuts and bruises can heal but psychological harm can stay with us forever. She spent most of her life feeling utterly invisible and simply existing whilst everyone and everything was moving past.

None of us will ever know if she would have gone any further than simply browsing suicide websites but it was such an intense concept for her. Most anime/games wont touch suicide with a 10ft pole but when they do its very powerful indeed and helps us understand the characters even better. Traces of reality in fiction always pull at the heart strings, in my opinion.

I think Atoli's character shows you that even though you might not expect it, things can get better for you as long as you keep moving instead of just stopping and giving up. You never know who or what is around the corner to throw your life in a new direction.

ps. yeah i know its long but srsly, stop watching if you think its too long, I don't refund 7 minutes of life. I used to but there was this whole court case thing... Two bloody hours it took for this video to save!
