My mother grew up seeing quadraphonic stereo sound as the next wave. We now have surround sound. Where will we go from there in the future, who knows :)

I miss nipper! I can see why they wanted a logo they could use everywhere (HMV owned it in Europe), but those ugly block letters were the beginning of the end for RCA.

What a stunning video. And it explains how the old ceramic cartridges worked brilliantly. These cartridges are by and large obsolete, as they required relatively high tracking pressures, compared to even a very cheap moving magnet design. Hence they damaged an awful lot of records. I was horrified to discover that some really cheap modern all in one record/CD recorders have them, so they're not dead yet! But fantastic video, I liked it, thanks very much! 5 stars1
