Stronger Glasses

Thats awesome! I read your blog and realized making this actually takes some know-how and isn't a simple hack. Have you thought about making a How-To video, detailing all the work and that goes into this and where you can get the pieces to do it?

Do you think anyone holds a copyright on this concept?

Jordan has a Creative Commons license on the glasses which means that you can make your own, but nobody can profit from it.

As far as a how-to video, I really have no interest in that. My plan with my blog was to both record my projects for my own benefit and to inspire others to understand how they work. I'd rather inspire people to learn a useful and profitable skill rather than just provide step-by-step instructions.

Do those shock the crap out of you every once in a while? Every once in a while i'll make something wearable for a music fest or something and primarily use a 9vdc to 90vac inverter. Accidentally touch the wires long enough and it would even burn my skin. Seeing the exposed ends pointing towards your eyes made me wonder.

Nope. The exposed wires are all at the same potential. You would have to touch both ends of the power supply to get a shock. The other end is safely covered in electrical tape.

Kanye West isn't the only one who samples, or as the artistically inclined like to call it, "stealing". Daft Punk have "stolen" other people's songs over the years, and yet, it's THEIR fans who call Kanye out for what he did with Stronger, even after giving them SONGWRITING CREDIT and having them in the music video and his Grammy performance.

That's a wonderful sentiment, and your blog is truly inspiring. I just graduated with a BS in Computer Science but I've always had a love for gadgets, and I'm purchasing an Arduino kit (and a 3d printer, but that's a different story) as soon as I get a stable source of income. While I respect your decision to not provide a tutorial, I wish there was one for such a cool project; the satisfaction of making such a cool design must be absolutely visceral
