Here's a suite from Smeaton's quite wonderful score to the underrated 1984 film, "The Iceman". This was, to the best of my knowledge, the first "Hollywood" score to use a sakuhatchi (Japanese Wood Flute--I probably misspelled it!). It's a really great theme that is really allowed to soar to magnificent levels at the film's finale (heard in the final minute or so of this suite). Enjoy!

  • just wanted to add that I think I know why this theme is so unforgettable and touching, feel free to disagree or call me names. The shakuhachi mimics very well the sound of a wounded animal, a dog or a wolf, and its howling.

  • this is my favourite film scoring of all time, to one of the most profound movies of the 20th century. We are truly de-evolving. this score is extremely moving and fits the movie perfectly. thank you Bruce Smeaton.

Google search "Mp3 rocket". sign up and join (it's free). Once it is installed, open the program and select the "music" option, type "Eleni" in the search window, and in a few seconds, all selections will appear. You will be able to preview them before you select the ones you wish so download to your files. Good luck
