this is my favourite film scoring of all time, to one of the most profound movies of the 20th century. We are truly de-evolving. this score is extremely moving and fits the movie perfectly. thank you Bruce Smeaton.

@OmteZero Absolutely. Seen the movie when it came out at the movie house. It didn't stay with me long afterward but this song and the flute DID. So much so I did as many here and searched for it as of 2011.

just wanted to add that I think I know why this theme is so unforgettable and touching, feel free to disagree or call me names. The shakuhachi mimics very well the sound of a wounded animal, a dog or a wolf, and its howling.
