There are several videos on YouTube that amount to slideshows of paintings by Mark Ryden. Mine is similar, but I think the music I've chosen and the pace at which the paintings blend one into the other is better suited to Ryden's work than those with, for example, hard rock providing the soundtrack. The music is by The Gathering, from their album IF THEN ELSE, and it's track 11: "Pathfinder."

  • had to stop the video half way due to disturbing pictures. sorry not my cup of tea.

  • This reminds me a famous John Waters quote: "If someone were to vomit at one of my films, it would be like receiving a standing ovation."

  • why he paints Lincoln is he racist?

Por que pinta a lincol es racista?

  • Wasn't Lincoln the one who FREED the slaves? How is Lincoln a racist?

  • Always had mad love for Ryden's creations. His girls are so porcelain-like and are placed in the strangest of surroundings.

Kudos to the creator of the video for choosing such an awesome track!

  • wow..the music matches perfectly. Absolutely love mark rydens art!

  • A lot of the time, paintings like these are more creepy than beautiful, but these are a harshly realistic and indescribably perfect mixture of both. He has a new fan.

  • You know, I used to wonder if Mark Ryden's brilliant art was paedophic, but I watched a number of videos of his art, and came to the conclusion that it was anti-paedophilic. It's packed with metaphors, I think. I also wonder if he had an abusive childhood. It's magnificent work, and he obviously sees life in a different way to most of us. His art is amazing.

  • @SkarlettDee no need to be a dick about it

  • @DanaAndra12 you're probably a peado your self so you like it.
