Akubra Slouch Hat now has a bash in it. It took a while but I think it will do.

  • I love you... you are a legend... nice hats btw!

  • @VoodooLongboards As a "legendary" ofd fart, I thank you. Be careful on that roller board. But then back in the day I did crazy stuff like you guys, but without all the safety gear. One step ahead of the grim reaper!

  • Thanks to everyone commenting on my video. I appreciate your comments. I still love the heck out of this hat and wear it often. It's a great hat and I have yet to see another one being worn here in South Texas. Even though its made by Akurba I am curious if it really is an authentic army hat!

  • hey mate im ozzie and u are wereing it wrong

the strap goes round your chein and u only put the sides up on special accasins like ANZAC DAY and REMEMBERANCE DAY and if u modify the hate you are discrimanteing acanst the anzac to leace it how it is any ways its to big

  • I thought the brim was up to prevent interfering with firing a rifle. Makes sense to me. Also, while driving the left brim up clears the window.

  • Nice hat mate, Akubra make a good hat. They are probably the most famous from here but there are some pretty other awesome hats made in Aus too. I use a Statesman and love it. I chose it in preference to the akubras I tried on.

  • Pin the flat

  • Hey Buddy, If you wan't to wear it as the Australian Army do you slant it forward with the chin strap on. You may either iron the brim flat or hook it up. (It is ussaully hooked up for drill)

  • I also own one of the these hats for the rarity of them in Texas, Im from near Nacogdoches. Looks good sir.

  • @galvestonsailor p.s. i just wanted to give you a clear picture about the hat as most of the comments are just random Australians saying things like 'your wearing it wrong' or 'its a chin strap not a neck strap' but in saying this, your not part of the australian army so you can wear it however you want, cheers mate.

  • @galvestonsailor and regarding mochrie1994 comment, modifying it isnt discriminating the ANZAC's because the original ANZACs did a hell of alot of modifying themselves to make it more comfortable and more the their liking. currently the brim is only worn up on the left side and that is only when in one of the cerimonial orders of dress as now we wear bush hats out field and it brim down in general duty orders of dress.

  • @galvestonsailor which represent the 7 states......oh and get your self a rising sun and it would look so much better mate.

  • @galvestonsailor sad to say mate but it isn't authentic, currently Mountcastle Ltd is contracted to make the slouch hat, even though originally it was Akubra, but in saying that akubra do make slouch hats to sell commerically online, so in a way you could consider it authentic or a replica, one thing though, the band is slightly different to the actual 'Pugaree' where it sort of has a sewn line down the front and rear and it dips in at the top at these points, it also has 7 folds in the band

  • Well done mate. Suits you.

  • you puggaree is the wrong one
