The Morning Report in December 1996. A big change from the day before, but a few changes were still yet to come the next month.

  • Well done...

Just word of advice, make sure the arial font is bold..and it will definitely look like the real thing..

BTW..Out of curiosity.. thinking the morning report/sea to sea LF, the boxes flew in the same way the Afternoon LF's did at that time, did the boxes really fade instead during this time?

  • Hmmm... maybe they did. I'll have to do another one using those effects.

  • this may be a stupid question but did u draw those clouds and stuff or that a actual picture of the clouds that day when ou made this video

  • The sat image is just an image from Environment Canada.

  • I think there were some slight differences. I believe I remember that the first and second rectangle current conditions boxes departed the screen by flying up to the top right (like the afternoons) while the ones replacing them would fly up from the bottom left. But then I think the remainder of the transitions after that were the same as the afternoons.

  • Great Job on the video! Did you know that you can actually get curved globe satellite images similar to those used in 1996 by the TWN on NASA Earth Scinces page? If you want, I can send you the link.

Also, great transitions, they didn't come out choppy at all! How do you do that?

  • ah*

  • Definitely one of the best looking Morning Report styled mockups so far.

Interesting... I'm guessing TWN generated the box in the bottom right corner that the current and afternoon (in this case) conditions fit into back at this time? Whereas at some point in the near future it must have switched so that the WeatherSTAR, and later the PMX, would generate it. It's noticeable since you don't see the box on the satellite screen.

  • ya yes
