My father and uncle also played. My father played in Tampa and Hartford under Durango. My uncle played as Kid Durango. After the strike it was all downhill for Jai Alai.

You cant play partido style of play and incorporate it into gambling. You seem like a true jai alai afficioando and only someone like you (and me) can appreciate true jai alai. Unfortunatly we are the minority. The Americanization was done solely for gambling. A 35 point partido does not fit well for trifecta, superfecta, etc. I agree with you but things change, Times change and sometimes change is good and sometimes change is bad.

I luv Jai Alai, its a real shame that its a dying sport in the U.S. (and would be dead if Florida hadn't allowed the Frontons to put in Poker rooms and slot machines).

its a shame the sports dying out my father n uncle used to play in fl and in ct under irazabal and i wish it was as big as it was wen i was growing up.
