Can language be learned past a particular age? In other words, is there a critical age for language acquisition? Or can language be learned at any age, no matter how old the person is? I'm not talking about a second language. I'm asking if a person raised by apes, for example, could be taught human language at any age, or is there a point in which development of language no longer possible?
