one of the short films for an application I helped Robert Szymanek with, for the 2010 Deutsche Bank Award in Music/Composition last april. we basically did a series of short films about his musical endeavours with all sorts of funky people, instruments and processes, all of which falls under the codename Bertie Seize the World.
long story short, Rob won! big moment!
shot in a dug-out ditch somewhere in epping forest, on a DV cam from 392 AD or something because that's all we could get our hands on back then. budget? what budget? whilst most of the films were docu-style we decided to go all out with this one, focusing on the general theme of the music. and having fun painting our arms and throwing glitter and constructing DIY forest floor replicas and hoping to god nobody would decide to take a walk through that part of the forest that day (they did).
track is a clip from "All Thumbs" by BSTW.
