@hackedranger the stuff i buy is a liquid nitrogen propellant, i dont buy the cheap stuff really. Also some brands put alcohol in the compressed air to give it more of a cleaning power. It all depends on the brand. But yes, you are completely true on all accounts. Sorry, i was trolling a bit (been having a bad streak in life)

@TapRackBoom actually it is highly compressed gas. When in the spray can it is so dense it becomes liquid.
The cooling effect is caused by the cans decompression as it loses pressure. To reach equilibrium the compressed gas absorbs energy and the can and air/liquid released does the same.
Although, you are right that liquid nitrogen would make it brittle, it is not what is in the can.

@ShadoShade no it wouldnt, thats what is in that stuff. It makes it more brittle yes, cooling anything down makes it more brittle.
