HELP NEEDED - T2I AKA 550D FLICKERING PROBLEM

Please read this and respond with advice, thank you youtube users.

So i have done few videos at night on street where there was comercial lights and street lamps over me, so i got many wierd flickering image, something like what u got with bad Herz on your monitor, lines and artifacts.
Im living in PAL country region but im using ntsc 30fps with 1/60 shutter speed, i've tryed puting iso from 100-6400 but that didnt helped.
Do i need to make WHITE BALANCE test at night or something to make this go away, is this problem with LED LIGHTS ON STREET OR

try to use pal maybe it works or play around with the shutter speed 1/50 maybe...

You have to play around with the options on your T2i for frame rate and shutter speed. If you point your camera at a light source it's immediatly obvious when you have a flickering problem. For example: 1080 25 fps goes well with shutter speed 30, 50 and 100. 40, 60 and 80 give flickering problems.

This is the problem with dslr sensors that dont work with fluorescent lighting. i have used canon t2i and also checked this issue on canon 5d mk2. but the good thing about 5d was it gets this flickering at 125 shutter speed and t2i gets it at 60 shutter speed in the same lighting. the reason for that is sensor size of 5d mk2 is full frame. but this problem is there i guess in all dslrs. In post it can be removed.

Yeah, so what if I'm not able to record it again? Any software chances on the matter? The cost is not an issue.

I'm in China and had set my Canon EOS60D to 60 for shutter speed.

Strong flickering happened when recording inside an assembly hall :-(

Went down to 50 and flickering is gone :-)

Thanks man had the same problem i was running in 1920/30 fps and had the shutter speed on 60 turned down one time to 50 and its gone!!! Thanks a lot for posting this!!!

this flickering is caused by the type of lighting available. the Fluorescent lamp light tend to produce this effect because of the pulsation, invisible to human eyes. With my canon dslr, I set my shutter speed to 1/50 on ntsc when it happens to me, seems to solve the problem.

@rmantica I tried it a while ago so I'm not certain, but I thought 60 didn't work with 30fps as well as 80. 50 and 40 were alright. But again you should try it for yourself since it's so obvious when pointing your camera at a light source and playing around with the shutter speed. Good luck!!
