Power Plate Side Plank with Shoulder Rotation.

An advanced version of the side plank, by placing the body onto one side the oblique muscle takes the load of the body while the performer simultaneously rotates the arm.

Recommended Machine Settings
Time (sec): 30 - 60
Frequency (Hz): 30 - 40
Amplitude: Low

Coaching key: Maintain alignment from neck to feet, engage side abdominals, maintain balance and neutral spine position.

Muscles targeted: Side Abdominals

Recommended sets: 1-2

Level: Advanced

  • @lecorpseexquisite: This exercise is primarily designed to stimulate the external oblique muscles. You will feel the obliques on the side nearest the floor working the hardest given that they are acting as a bridge to prop up your body.
