Someone at this dealership had a thing for red Cougars, they're one of the featured cars in all of these it seems.

I worked at WGN when they would tape these commercials each Friday afternoon.
Many of these cars had to be jump started to get them in the garage to the studio.
They ran for years

@wildbill9919 That was a big deal in the late 70's and early 80's since most Detroit iron had a bad habit of rusting as you looked at them. ..And Houston had it's fair share of places like "Rusty Jones" that did undercoating on cars...

@ducatinova You're right the same style of car is in the 1980 commercial. Except it cost $4488 in 1980 and $1988 in 1986. Major depreciation.
