  • @CircusEnvy23 You are exactly right. My old band played in drop A and my new one plays in B and thats what I've done with my 4-string bass, just slapped thicker strings on it. Make sure your nut and neck can handle it though...I had to dremel mine out a little bit haha

  • You like it so you smash it with the camera 0:58? lol

  • @Fenderprecision51 You could always buy 5 bass strings and put the lower four on a bass and ditch the G string

I find fender precisions the best for drop tuning, nice solid neck

  • @Fenderprecision51

    It's very simple:

    Blink-182 - You don't need a 5 String.

    Metal with drop Tunings - I'm angry I bought a 4 string!

All in all, it depends on what you play more and your skill as a bassist. 4 Strings are easier to learn on, but seeing as you already seem to play a bit of bass, I suggest get a 5 String now. They're not too clunky =). Obviously a bit bigger.

  • so i might get this bass, i really dont know if i need a 5 string though. i play alot of blink 182 type stuff, but also alot of metal with drop tunnings. i play some jazz and i also am hoping to learn some slap funk (its hard to slap on the bass i have right now). so do i really need a 5 string? also, is the fret board really big and slow and clunky due to the extra string? i wouldnt really know, i havent play a 5 string before.

  • Hey Universal, How did the finger spacing feel? I'm thinking of getting one.

  • to all of the people talking shit about the washburn bass quality, i personally feel they're the better bass(force series anyway). i own a schecter stilleto custom 4 & a washburn force 4, all i have to say is my washburn puts the schecter to shit and i paid $250 less for the washburn. just my opinion!

  • Snag this baby for $450! search schecter studio 5 on ebay!

  • i have this amazing bass up for sale! check out schecter stiletto studio 5 on ebay, mines the lower priced one.
