"Hyperspeed" is just a speed mod. Speed mods have existed for over 12 years and have widely been accepted by players and the creators as a legitimate way to help you read the charts.
I can't help it that Guitar Hero and Rockband are behind the times, and that the average IQ of an average player is below 38.

wether or not he drums in real life isn't determined by his rockband drum fills. Even if a drummer has a musical ear or sense of timing and rythym, it doesn't mean he/she will or can apply it to a video game. This is an incredibly difficult fc, so what if he just wanted to tone down the fills so he could focus on not missing, rather than being musically talented?
