I'd say 'best singer' is about 50% subjective.

Some vocalists are obviously objectively better than others, eg Russell Allen is objectively better than me, but at a point it is certainly subjective.

Russell Allen > Dio = subjective,

Russell Allen > Lady Gaga = objective ;)

@AnibalRodriguez Wise words my friend. I've certainly changed my mind over the last two years- while I don't care for Lady Gaga's music in the slightest, she is far more talented than most of her contemporaries in the pop world- and as such there were plenty of other examples I probably should've chosen.

But yes, I'm not saying that Russell is better than Dio (nor am I saying the opposite), I think someone felt that way and I was just making a point. Really there's no need to compare.

@Maddolis i get your point man. But the only objective way to measure or compare is to determine who has more range, and i think Allen has a wider range than Dio, so he sings "better". Altough singing with more range doesnt mean one sings better IMO...in the end its ALL SUBJECTIVE
