Leif Garrett: I'm a rebel

Leif Garrett sings I'm a rebel. That song didn't appear on any of his albums. It was produced at the beginning of the 80's and - from what I know - only appeard as a 45 in Italy or Spain (?). It was never sold anywhere else, so most fans don't know about it. A friend of a friend of a friend claimed to have heard it on the radio in the 80's, but we never believed her. Then, a couple of years ago, a friend and I found it on the internet.... Here it is.

I'm only thirteen and I got sucha huge crush on Leif. He's the reason why I'm living my life as a musician, he inspired me to do music, writing songs,performing on stage ... .like I'm a rebel. For sure "I am a rebel" was the closing title tune for a saturday' afternnoon's kid or teen show on Italian public television (RAI, first channel) in 1980/81 called "Il Barattolo" (that means "The Can"): it was written by Argentinian composer Victorio Pezzolla that actually realised various jingles and themes for Rai.

This song is great. It could have replaced any of a half dozen on his last album in the early 80's. Too bad Leif didn't have more say in the song selection.
