清海無上師視訊於中東素食大會 Supreme Master Ching Hai VC at Meveg Congress

The first ever Middle East Vegetarian Congress has been successfully held on December 6-7 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the public had the opportunity to interact with distinguished speakers regarding various aspects of plant-based living. The two-day meeting was organized by the Middle East Vegetarian Group (MEVEG), with support from the Middle East Natural & Organic Product Expo (MENOPE 2010) and endorsement from the Dubai Health Authority, was officially opened by the nation's Federal Minister for Health, His Excellency Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

psychologist and TV personality Ms. Zaufyshan Haseeb. Presenters included the head of Iran's National Nutrition and Food Technology Research Institute, Dr. Arash Rashidi, who spoke on the connection between meat and cancer; Thomas Cierpka, senior manager of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements, on the ecological and economic sense of organic agriculture; and Indian Vegan Society's founder Shankar Narayan about the plant-based lifestyle. It attracts participants to further understanding the importance of vegetarianism. For schools who strive on eco-friendly and vegetarian policy are very appreciated to join in the seminars and all students and teachers are actively participated the workshops after the seminars.

Also, there is a highlight of good news about launching the first Arabic edition of Supreme Master Ching Hai's #1 international bestseller, "The Birds in My Life," in UAE. All Books are sold out during the coinciding two-day event of the Middle East Natural and Organic Product Expo MENOPE 2010.
