  • where did u get the t-tap?

  • @Xytos I got a few from my local Car Stereo Store. and i ordered 150 From ebay. 150 cause it includes All 3 sizes..

  • bro, you know if you go to best buy and purchase a alarm they install for free. I am a Auto Tech for bestbuy ,a couple of things that i would do is 1. Dont use T- taps, they are easier to use but we have seen cars come in burnt out and fire damage. 2. before you put the alarm in wrap the cables in electrical tape if someone know what they are doing they can disable the alarm if they can see the wires.over all man alarms can be very difficult and congratz on your first one being functional.

  • Thanks, but retail price suck most pple do buy from best buy, i try not to if i dont have to.. plus i asked one time if a remote started could be installed by best buy techs, they said NO cause its a manual. liability issue

  • can a alarm brain be put in the middle plastic console? Or will it not work?

  • yes you can put the brain anywhere as long as the cables reach. the idea is to make the brain hard to find so it wont be unpluged when some1 breaks in.

  • Some Tips For installing Car Alarms!

    1) With a Small Pick you can depin the wires on the harness that you will not use, that prevents the wires from shorting out!

    2) Use all black wire, split loom everything and also use UL Listed Electrical tape & Solder.

    3) Put your antenna on the opposite side of where your alarm is installed.

    4) Always put your brain somewhere else then right under the dash, if a thief just cuts the ground its over! This is Not ment to be a negative comment. Take Care!

  • props for doing it yourself

  • @snickerfritz420 I'd rather buy a remote start system online for 1/3 or 1/4 of the cost best buy sells it for and spend a saturday installing it...

  • man i havent seen one video that actually shows you every wire connection

  • Congrats on your first install.. ive learned from your demo and from the comments of others. Im doing mine tmw. but im not making a video.

  • do you have immobilaser in the car ? Because I heard that if you have it, you have to put the key to the key turner to work remote ??

  • Best Buy is the worst buy! prices are high, techs are worthless and liars. Best Buy also has poor warranty services, they will always give an excuse, even if they are the ones that damaged the product.

  • 9:34 "easy stuff" o.O

  • liquid tape sucks, get a good strip, twist the wires bend and stretch super 33 tape around it. please hook up ur ground wires first people ive seen many ecu have power back feed in them during install and take a shit
