This is part two of a program that aired on Korean TV about the dog meat industry. It continues with the investigation into the trading of former pets for dog meat.

The open secret of pet dog meat was dramatically exposed on Korean TV in 2010 and shocked many viewers. In 2011, a TV crew went back to see if anything had changed. This video shows that basically nothing has changed, except that dog traders are more suspicious and secretive now.

The investigation also found that diseased dogs were being turned into dog meat. Turns out it is a very common practice in the dog meat industry.

So when people eat dog meat, they could be eating former pets or what were once dogs with diseases. Bon appetit!

but the meat most in the U.S. buy from the butcher or supermarket were properly and humanely slaughtered. I'm sorry but I am certain that those dogs are not checked for the rabies virus either. They just take whatever dogs they can get and they don't ask questions as to where from-therefore any of them can have it,hence the human eats the dog and gets rabies. I wonder how many unreported cases there are of that?
