This attachment was sold to depression era farmers as an affordable way to build a tractor. The kit was shipped from a factory near La Salle, Illinois. It originally sold for the cash price of $ 89.75. If you wanted to make Monthly payments, the price was $98.25 with $8 down and $8 monthly.
The original ad says the attachment has "Plenty of power for the biggest job. All the power you will need for cultivating and mowing on farms of 80 to 100 acres. So economical to build and operate that owners of even 5-acre farms will find it a worthwhile investment. One owner writes, "Does the work of 3 horses on about 6 gallons of gas a day." Easy to assemble...no special tools required. All you need is an old Model T or A Ford or an old Chevrolet plus Wards Tractor Equipment...."
Very nice.

You could buy a kit back then to convert a model T to a tractor. Not sure if they came from Ford or Montgomery Ward as this one claims.
