Now that takes me back, I want the old Samui back

Excellent video! I first went to Lamai Beach Samui in 1995, things looked then alot like what you see in this video, I spent days travelling around the island on a motor bike along the dirt roads and really fell in love for Samui. I have since been back many times, the most recent was in July 2008. The whole Island has developed into a major tourist resort, and although I still enjoy the easy going atmosphere, I do think for me it was much better back before the major development..

@ichbinschon52 ja das waren noch Zeiten...ich habe sogar die Besitzerin der Lugano Bar an der Ecke wieder erkannt...war von 1990 bis 92 in der Gegend.....und die geile Naturstrasse...noch kein Asphalt, tolle Zeiten..

I owned the Sydney Bar in Lamai from 1995 - 1997. Was one off the bars in the "circle bars" that has the lady boxing....that started in 1996. Great memories...

I was born there 1983 have see Samui changing alots and hurt me.. Now today so far away from that time.. I love my home miss the old day and old style of Samui

thanks, I was there in the 92 for the first time,in that time I was 24 years old and Samui was a real paradise island,not like now, but still be the best I can remember in 70 countries I been on the planet. it will stay on my heart for the rest of my life i will never forget that days in ko samui.
