Just what can fuel do to steel? Oakland Bridge Collapse

"Hmmmm ... Can it really burn steel?"

Just read any 911 skeptic argument and they will claim that the "officials story" is that the buildings came down because the steel "melted". This is a lie. That has never been the claim of why the buildings came down. The NIST report nor any other scientific or even political organization have never claimed that the buildings came down due to steel melting. Claiming so is beyond being a straw man argument, its just blatant intentional deception. They lie to you to convince you of their false logic.

For instance the fires that caused this bridge collapse didn't melt the steel either. But it did however cause the bridge to collapse anyway. What conspiracy theorist (liers) wont tell you is that steel weakens by 50% at the temperatures at which carbon fuels burn. What they also don't mention is that the fuel can also just act as a catalyst for other things that can burn much hotter. For instance the tanker truck or a in the WTC a bunch of office material. What they also wont mention is that the initial explosion is a force in and of itself, out side of the mere affects of heat due to fire. Explosions cause structural damage which makes beams more venerable to heat, such affecting the weight distribution of the structure or also as in the WTC buildings removing the flimsy fire protection away from the steel. What the CT liers wont mention either, is the steel beams that can weaken up to %50 aren't even the most venerable parts of collapse. For instance, heat can easily cause steel beams and girders to expand, thus further altering the weight distribution of the structure and putting too much stress on the ACTUAL week parts of the structure - the bolts that hold the joints together.

This video is in no way attempting to argue that the structure of the bridge and the structure of the buildings are the same. Its merely a real life incident for common people to visualize as evidence that heat has detrimental effects on steel. That is a fact known for a long time. Known for so long that even when the WTC buildings where first built it was required by Federal law (and still is) to have fire proofing in place around the steel beams.
